| 1993 | AT&T Yazaki Joint Venture established to design, manufacture and sell optical cables and connectivity solutions in Japan; renamed Lucent Technologies Yazaki (LTY) in 1996. |
| 1995 | LC Connector was invented by Norm Lampert, formerly Chief Scientist and currently technical consultant at Y-connect / Yazaki. |
| 2000 | Yazaki established Y-connect in Pennsylvania to establish copper and fiber connectivity products for datacom and telecom applications. |
| 2001 | Lucent Technologies Yazaki (LTY) sells first LC Unibody Connectors. |
| 2003 | Yazaki purchases LTY from Furukawa and maintains LC Unibody License |
| 2004 | Yazaki delivers 1x8 ruggedized fanout solutions for use in Verizon FTTH networks. Yazaki moves Fiber Optic Connectivity Manufacturing from Gotemba, Japan to Hangzhou, China. |
