Effective April 1, 2003 Y-connect, Incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary of the Yazaki Group, has merged its operations with Yazaki North America.  The merger consolidates Yazaki's non-automotive connector business within the Components Business Unit (ComBU) of Yazaki North America.

Yazaki is a privately held Multi-Billion Dollar Japanese Company, with 82 Companies in 31 countries around the world. The primary focus of its technology is in Cables, Wiring Harnesses, Cable Assemblies, Connectors, and Electronic Assemblies for the Automotive market, as well as specialized Environmental products.
