Verification of Compliance: Where YCO is the manufacturer of the component product (e.g. connectors, wire, etc), documentation and test data shall be kept on file. Where YCO is the manufacturer of an assembly which is being built to a Customer supplied Bill of Material, YCO shall research the components for “RoHS compliance” only upon customer request and YCO business office approval. YCO shall maintain only such supporting documentation that is readily available from the component manufacturer (e.g. datasheets, catalog pages, drawings, etc). Where YCO is the manufacturer of an assembly which is being built to a YCO specified Bill of Material, YCO shall research each of the components for “RoHS compliance” 100%. YCO shall maintain only such supporting documentation that is readily available from the component manufacturer (e.g. datasheets, catalog pages, drawings, etc). Where YCO is the purchaser, the supplier shall maintain documentation and/or test data that demonstrates compliance to this policy. Upon request by YCO to verify the measurement of materials content, the supplier will use a qualified laboratory to perform the testing. Samples tested must be of a homogeneous material. Results based on testing of manufactured parts or components as a means to demonstrate that individual constituent materials are compliant with this policy will not be accepted without the prior approval of YCO engineering. Recognized sample preparation and test standards must be used. Test reports must be kept on file and made available on request. 5. RoHS Compliant Part Numbering, Labeling, Certificate of Compliance, Ordering Part Numbering It is the objective of Y-connect Operations to maintain an uninterrupted supply chain for RoHS compliant material. We will strive to provide identical form, fit, and function products that meet the RoHS Directive as specified in this document. To this end Y-connect Operations will be retaining the same part numbering. Therefore there is no need to change the part number you order. Labeling All RoHS compliant products will include a label indicating RoHS compliance identified by our RoHS Compliance Logo shown below. The logo will be present on all applicable drawings, unit labels and carton labels to communicate that products are compliant with the RoHS Directive as specified in this document. RoHS Compliance Logo
Y-connect Operations will provide a RoHS Certificate of Compliance only when requested as part of a Purchase Order and only with the initial shipment of product. Any other requests for Certificates of Compliance must be agreed upon in writing by Y-connect Operations.
